Pilota
A downloadable game for Windows
Pilota is a casual top-down flying game: explore a large 2D pixelart world, and if you choose to put on your red-cyan glasses, you can activate 3D mode with one click and watch your aircraft climb and pop out from the screen.
You have to take off and land, plus you need to monitor your speed, altitude and fuel as these parameters change during manoeuvres. The game supports instrument flight as well.
You can control 40 vehicles and do missions just like in real life: dust crop fields, fight wildfires, carry passengers, win air races and many more!
A story unfolds as you buy new planes and unlock missions, but you can always choose between earning money and flying for fun.
IMPORTANT:
Pilota is not a new game. It was made in the early 2010s, then it spent a couple of years offline. This is the re-release of Pilota from 2014.
I would like to thank everyone who played the first release of Pilota and everyone who contacted me during the years and inquired about the game!

So much fun. The instruments being so far away from the plane makes it a little bit difficult to keep track. But I would imagine it to be obstructive if it gets positioned near the plane.
Also, the tutorial mission reward being 1000 and equivalent to the next mission(farm pesticide thing) kinda discourages me from the doing the harder missions.
Also I wish I can remap all the keys, it would be convenient for controllers as I wouldn't need to use the keyboard at all.
But all in all, an amazing game. All aviation games I have played before were military based(dogfights, ground targets etc), I never imagined doing basic airplanes things would be so fun.
Thanks for the game.
where in the settings do i enable 3d?
Hi! Press the 3 key on your keyboard to toggle 3D mode (you need red-cyan glasses)!
thanks, i have the glasses and it's really cool! wish there was more 3d games like this
